Agreed, the number of golf courses available to the golf tourist does not rival Spain or Portugal but there is enough here to keep even the most fanatical golfers occupied during their stay.

Here your money goes a long way. On the fringes of the Sahara desert, scenes from academy award winning film "The English Patient" were shot and this particular area is renowned for producing excellent dates. At night the Medina (old walled city) is alive with the hustle and bustle of locals sitting outside the numerous cafes and bars. For the bargain hunters, haggling is a must. Haggle yourself anything from carpets and rugs to leather or copper and wood carvings in the Souks (markets).
